The employees of CME Engineering donated a total of $10,000 to local charities The Children’s Aid Home Programs of Somerset County, Inc. and Outside In School of Experiential Education, Inc. The donations were raised through “CME Cares!” – a program in which the CME family comes together to help others and give back to their communities. CME selected Outside In School of Experiential Education, Inc. of Bolivar, PA, and The Children’s Aid Home Programs of Somerset County, Inc., of Somerset, PA, for their focus on children and adolescents.
The Children’s Aid Home offers a continuum of quality services which promote the emotional, behavioral, educational and physical development of children, adolescents, and their families. Outside In offers a range of care that includes residential substance abuse treatment, outpatient substance abuse treatment including Multidimensional Family Therapy, Residential juvenile justice programs, in-home family services and an innovative weekend program.
“I am blessed every day to work on behalf of children and families in need. This is a very humbling experience. Equally humbling is the opportunity to meet generous donors in our community like the very generous group from CME.” stated Children’s Aid Home Executive Director, Lynne Horne.
“Outside In is very gracious to receive this wonderful donation. The money will be used to enhance drug and alcohol services through purchasing treatment curriculum to assist the students with their recovery,” stated Outside In Facility Director, Jody Wellwood.
This is the fourth year CME has provided local non-profit organizations with contributions from its employees. To date, the CME Cares program has donated over $38,900 to local organizations serving the areas within which CME operates: Greensburg (PA), Somerset (PA), and Wheeling (WV).
“We want to show our gratitude to the communities where we live and work by giving back and helping those in need,” said company President, Sean Isgan. “We are humbled by the work these charities perform and so proud of our staff for making this gift possible.” Added, Chairman and Executive Vice President, Michael Walker “This donation is a reflection of the culture and wonderful people we have at CME. Our employees were eager to help the children and the wonderful teams at The Children’s Aid Home and Outside In.”
